Ripley’s daily newspaper comic-section panel describes a man by the name of Li Man-Yiu of Hong Kong who purportedly drank two vials of blood from a hospital. However, I needed more details =)
The fellow was, according to Reuters, on a drinking binge at the age of 28, and stumbled into a hospital looking for something to quaff. Vampyres.com reports that he was actually a patient there coming in for a leg injury, so employees noticed the theft after he’d already gone home and dumped the empty vials in a rubbish bin. MonstersAndCritics.com also reports that the judge who sentenced him to two months in jail also lashed out at the hospital for their insufficient security, as a hospital porter had carelessly left blood unattended in plain view.
